Gray, GA

Gray is a city in Jones County in Georgia named in honor of James Madison Gray, a major financier of the Confederacy during the Civil War.

The city is home to the Jones County courthouse, a building built in 1905 that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Picnic in the Park will be held at Main Street Gray on Sept. 15 from 7:00pm until 10:00pm, hosted by Main Street Gray and the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce.

On Sept. 23, the annual Jones County Day featuring Demun Jones and special guests will be held from 6:00pm until 11:00pm at the Jones County Lions Club.

Now on its 2nd year, the Jones County Day will feature performances not only by Demun Jones but also from Lil’ George & Last Call, and Stacey Blanton.
