Lithonia, GA

Lithonia is a city in eastern DeKalb County which literally means “city/town of stone.” It is one of the gateways to the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

The city will be hosting the Taste of the South on Sept. 23 from 8:00am until 6:00pm at the Stonecrest Fleamarket.

H.O.M.E. (Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure) is turning three and it is sharing its blessings through a H.O.M.E. Town Celebration Community Block Party on September 16 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Lithonia City Park & Amphitheater.

H.O.M.E celebrates the power of giving through free food, festivities, children’s activities, great speakers, a soul-stirring gospel concert and so much more.

The city of Lithonia abounds with non-profit organizations that do philanthropic deeds and Cirque Du Smiley is one event that can change people’s lives, organized by Smile 4 New Life Foundation.

Cirque Du Smiley is an annual hair and fashion show fund raiser event.

Now on its 6th year, this year’s event slated on Nov. 12 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at 2617 Panola Rd intends to raise funds for colon cancer awareness.

Smile 4 New Life Foundation is a public benefit non-profit corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes.

This year, the foundation is donating funds to the American Cancer Society’s Colon Cancer Division. Click here for more details
